It is natural for me to start with the world’s largest and most visited art museum. – The Louvre is located in the center of Paris and has after the renovation really combined the old classic with the modern.
Built as a giant castle where gold-shining halls are lined up one after the other. You can recognize many of the places from the filming of The Da Vinci Code. The 20 meter high glass pyramid was inaugurated in 1989.
There are over 10 million people who visit the Louvre every year, except this year of course.
I am fully aware that it is not the same, but the museum has made a very good effort in creating digital solutions that we can enjoy now that we can not travel anywhere.
Take a look at their official website
Until mid-January, they have an exhibition I would like to see: Body and Soul
Italian Renaissance Sculpture from Donatello to Michelangelo
